It is from the highest peaks we can see the stars

Living in/as the moment. Writing in and as a place of renewal. My retreat – my sanctuary. Revering nature and my own inner strength to nurture and refine, and most importantly creating the return to my writing.

Rediscovering the true meaning of my own foundation, connection to the stars above… and especially the Libra constellation.

What is the outcome of what I first wrote all those years ago? Now as though having been everywhere, always creating a place to find endeavor and destiny.  The answers always present but allusive. Simply waiting for the next step to be revealed and taken.

As though the words written on the next blank page will tell us. Writing as though re-writing events and history with the search to gain new knowledge and wisdom never-ending.

We change as though we are forever creating new starting points.

I am reminded of the character “One Hundred Eyes” from the Netflix series Marco Polo, who tells us of the Hall of the Four Treasures. In that for myself, the answer has always been tied to nature.

Following the ancient traditions refining my path – following wu wei – the art of doing nothing. Ultimately, there can be no excuses. Only following the path, I am here to travel.

To the left I am in China, and the home of Mencius, one of the founders of what was to become the examination system, the written word, that guided Chinese culture for over a thousand years. Understanding context and meaning became symbolic to longevity, purpose, and wisdom.

It is often impatience and procrastination and how one leans on the other. Transforming into a vessel of peace and happiness, we are moved to realize the dormant power of light buried like seeds deep within our soul.

To what Ralph Waldo Emerson told us that we are to transcend the ordinary, i.e., living in lack and limitation and that we are to embrace and understand our true nature… what was to be called “transcendentalism”. To what Joseph Campbell was to later refer to as that we are to “find and follow our bliss”

For myself, the Hall of the Four Treasures, can be conveyed as follows:

Treasure #1: That we are to follow the bliss of our own achievement creating a place where heaven and earth meet on equal terms.

Treasure #2: Our growth is limited only to the capacity or receptivity of our own individual mind. Knowing and keeping to an unspeakable joy descending upon us like a rain of soft petals.

Treasure #3: Keeping or staying in line with a premortal unity. Vibrant with a rhythmic life and light.

Treasure #4: Desire to change and move beyond what is already known. Acknowledging our place within the realm of universal flow. Staying in tune with the vibrations of who we are yet to become and always been.

Meditation and study are meant to deepen our practice. How we transmit our lives to the universe, to live beyond the present paving our way back to the stars.

Guideposts, like the stars, reading and writing show and remind us of the Tao, and the way of virtue. As we come forward to live within divine order and harmony.

To live as though we have already arrived continuing our present path. No worries, only the constant acknowledgement of who we are – to be full of joy, to love, and to be happy. That there are no impediments to the path from here forward and to act as though every moment is a new beginning as we prepare to turn the page.

In the end, how could we have lived without a continuing story to tell.

(The above completed during the first two weeks of October 2024. The beginning of my seventy second year (72) celebrating new beginnings.)
