Throughout history nature can be defined as following certain cycles and patterns. It is what defines what was to be known as the I Ching and change. Following the sun, moon, and stars told us that all things found in nature are to try to conform with was to become known as complimentary opposites. To how we could measure everything using what became known as following patterns they called yang verses yin, black verses white, day verses night, man verses women, and the tendencies of each. Following patterns and pathways meant how we could best survive in nature with nature as our teacher. To only take what we need and replenish with something of equal or greater value.
We learned that the opposite was true when underlying contradictions were not accounted for and reconciled. Living as nature intends is meant to teach us and continues to be a life and death proposition. It’s what global warming when we are unconcerned with consequences is telling us now. That when we separate ourselves from others, we lose ourselves. What Indigenous peoples discovered was putting and keeping things in universal or what we call perspective in line with our instincts, natural, or divine order is in keeping with eternal spirit.
What defines our ultimate role in the overall scheme of things. Something we’ve always known beyond self, leaving things the same or better than we found them. Once they implemented these patterns of life and death, they paid homage to the creator through prayer circles and temples trying to live within some defining way that is universal to all things found in nature. Once they recognized and knew of this power that in the East was to become known as the Tao, and in the West as God, plus many names in-between, it became imperative that knowable outcomes could be defined and pursued. Understanding the cycles and life that was to benefit all things found in nature, and developing patterns needed for our/their survival became paramount.
Conforming with nature’s teaching needs a roadmap. What would help to take us there were myths and legends from the past that consisted of our memories and imagination. They are the stories that the storytellers lived by conveying the best and worst of times and importantly how people responded. Imagination becoming simply the next step to what was later to become reality with memories as our guidebook. Intuition telling the Wright brothers man could fly with their knowledge and imagination teaching them how to do so. Stories of previous attempts lending credence to the right path to take. The first step always to look beyond what we think or take for granted. Because it will change as well.

Revealing Change
Come to know change by following the patterns and cycles found in all things.

Knowing all the while that change cannot be forced but only revealed. Keeping silent when showing up all those who are stuck with past indiscretions and obligations around their neck. Maintain a simple calmness found in your inner voice and always be prepared to do the right thing by truth and sincerity. Find the balance in everyday actions that simply occur.
Bringing change to the scene is fraught with difficulties, indifference and disaster. Security for some becoming the art of doing things only by rote, over and over again. A monotony comforted by sameness and routine.
Terrified that something new may come along that must be learned and accounted for. Forgetting that the trick always lies in analyzing underlying contradictions correctly.
While being of no account you seek to reveal the oneness of all is done only by knowing that change must occur and will be revealed in the final outcome. However, avoiding accountability for the task at hand by holding onto old ways and false security leads only to vacant stares and an uneventful existence with no real meaning.
Look for change in things not real thereby revealing your second nature. Reveal within yourself those attributes not supporting the road that must be traveled and endure pure joy in the process. Letting all things occur naturally and taking credit for nothing either good or bad. 4/15/94
