Coming forward with the right questions to ask.

I like the idea of our coming forward to challenge what might be considered as conventional thinking. Who is doing Nature’s calling? As though going along with things was difficult for someone who bristled at the idea of saying that it’s okay that others may be doing things contrary to nature’s intent. That all things should be considered in whatever outcome may come. When I write, it is often as though no one is paying attention, so I ask why to continue? Writing with history as our guide things become esoteric, or what may be understood by or meant for only the select few who have special knowledge or interest. Most people don’t seem to care all that much about their history. Does it matter rather anyone is paying attention or not. As we recall that it’s often not only knowing the answer but knowing the right questions to ask. Perhaps you do care because someone should.

Is it ego or simply an illusion, or maybe an allusion. Living as a metaphor to our highest selves simply waiting to get our attention. We say we should live in the moment, but how big is the moment we are living in? How big, or large, is our reach and does it matter if we can see beyond ego? As we cast the net of our lives, who and what does it capture? If we have never traveled more than fifty miles from home, then what do we know if we only listen to what others tell us? I think it has everything to do with our memories that help to take or guide us on the journey we are first to discover then follow. When do we know when the time to stay or leave arrives? I always go back to that ancient shaman looking up to the stars at night who dreamt of eternity, beginnings, endings, and what was to be filled in between and that it is when something or someone reminds you of your past and says you need to remember who you are…

Keeping a journal or simply writing to chronicle events that stir and shape our memories going forward. Keeping track – less we forget. If we decide to simply go with the flow of events, verses shaping events first for ourselves then others, what outcome can we hope for and what future can we hope for ourselves and others and does it matter? A few weeks from now when we begin our travels with Lieh Tzu, one of the first entries is “Changing Clothes” that I wrote back in 1994. Reading it now means a lot more thirty years later than when I asked myself at the time… where did that come from?

Coming Forward

Heavy clouds and rain signal that the immortals are close by. The sage into his writings off to himself and his reflections of times spent with Lao Tzu, Lieh Tzu and Chuang Tzu.

Know and keep to humble beginnings and rest assured that all things will follow. Be guided simply by observation, reflection and development. Keep totally within yourself and remain patient.

Again, be patient as we know your journey is straight as an arrow with quiver and bow ready to strike its mark. There can be no rush. Simply remember what you have written. The dragons are counting on you to lead and show the way to virtue and reflect their values in your writings. Your newfound friends always at your side waiting to see if you are ready to move forward. The challenge is severe. However, the rewards are forever eternal. Listen to Lieh Tzu as his stories convey the next step to follow along the way after the unity found in these One Hundred Flowers.

Keep to the path as Lieh Tzu requests and all will flow as the salmon having hatched its eggs then dying as it has completed its mission and been fulfilled. The salmon’s death only a signal that the cycle continues.

The Tao forever intact and in control as your mentors reflect. Lieh Tzu forever remaining the symbol of the true sage abandoning all forever seemingly unnecessary to the true way. Keeping only to the Tao and bringing the connectedness of Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu into its eternal understanding for all to know and follow. Asking no questions you simply come forward to know the way. 4/ 12/94
