Channeling abundance as nature’s calling.

We are here to make each other better in ways we thought we never could. Just as it is not what we do but is how we do it. How do we channel abundance? How do we know abundance when looking for it beyond simply self-interest? How do we attach and attract ourselves to universal well-being to all things in our world and does it matter? We begin by knowing the right questions to ask knowing that answers lie already within us. We often think and ask why to meditate and fix a time for prayer and devotion that we look to ourselves first as we begin each day. Why keeping a journal for self-discovery is important, not just as a daily “to do” list as we go about our day. But inwardly as well, what is it we hope to accomplish today.

We’re on number fifty-five of sixty-four entries of the I Ching now, and we’re only now reaching our thoughts and what may be our actions as to abundance. Think about what brought Indigenous peoples thousands of years ago to look to the sky and stars and asking what do we do to bring abundance into our lives? How do we live in such a way that my loved ones are cared for? How we go from merely surviving on a subsistence level, to recognizing the value of community. That it has always began from within each individual.

The I Ching has never been simply an expression of popular culture and fortune-telling. But the initial stepping-stone to help people to see that the world begins from within themselves. That to make the best of it we must help others to do the same. We have always looked to the stars and asked why things are the way they are and looked to nature for the answers. What we have always known is that when we look at things as only self-interest, that in the long run we cannot succeed. That the universal law of cause and effect will always prevail. That what we do determines both who we will be and what outcome will occur.

The weight of wealth and possessions can be as light as a goose down pillow. If things are given freely and shared with others one is allowed to sleep at night.

However, if one is driven by the need for more than what is required to lead a simple unassuming life the pillow can in turn be suffocating. Ultimately leading to one’s demise.

Trappings become necessities for those who have no sense of purpose and sense of self. Knowing and keeping to one’s inner voice and chi gives a sense of space and distance between oneself and things of material value which in which truth have no real value to the journey at all.

Accumulating wealth and worldly possessions only serves to mask the inner self, reflecting in the mirror the distance still to be traveled. Strive to find the proper balance and harmony that mirrors the peace within oneself. Practicing perspective with the ever present I Ching.

Keeping to the mirror image of one’s own reality is the key to learning true value. Discard yesterday’s things and find today’s. Learn that value is in finding the nothingness needed to understand tomorrow. There is strength to be found in character, sense of purpose and knowing the ultimate value of the balance to be found in all things.
