Repotting plants Day 2

Before working on my plants there are some things I need to do. First finish putting compost and the flower and garden soil mix on the rest of the raised beds. I like to use the comport to boost what I’m growing in my raised beds along with the soil mix that includes a slow-release fertilizer that helps to ensure growth of what I am planting over the season. Second, I need to finish preparing the chicken area in my back yard to put down straw that I got yesterday. This includes digging up the remaining grass, so I don’t have to worry about cutting or mowing. Third, is planting onions. They have been soaking in a bucket of water for a couple day to give them a head start once they’re planted. Sounds like a full day.

Day 2  I transplanted the following on Tuesday:

  1. Repot two trays of Sweet Banana peppers                              28 pots 84 plants
  2. Repot small tray Carnival blend sweet peppers                                    15 plants
  3. Repot three trays Dwarf blue curled kale                               42 pots 168 plants
  4. Repot one tray Early Prolific straight neck summer squash    8 pots    24 plants
  5. Repot one tray 49er hybrid summer squash                            8 pots    24 plants
  6. Repot two trays Summer pak F1 summer squash                  16 pots   48 plants

102 pots       363 plants

What’s remaining, is a few trays plus the tomatoes still to be repotted. The tomatoes can wait a few days. Experience tells me that they are already about 6 inches tall. Once they are transplanted, they will grow very quickly. I need to slow them down. There are easily two than two hundred plus plants.
